- Western Isles Wildlife
The impetus for the development of the website started when Frank was staying at a hotel in North Uist and the proprietor, who had discovered who he was, showed him a set of six dinner mats which had photographs of British mammals upon them, and not one was a resident of the Western Isles.
I told her that it was a pity she couldn’t get a set of mats with photographs of some of the wildlife found here, and the idea sprung from there.
Frank tries to put his own stamp on an image, which can be a difficult thing to do. In some of his best shots, he’s unquestionably achieved this aim.

I hope this is what will attract people to my work and what they will get from it. By putting images on different products, people can carry a bit of the island around with them - a keyring will fit in your pocket better than a framed print will.
Although Frank’s long term plan is to set-up a into a studio/gallery where potential customers can make an appointment to come and view my products and work, the convenience of an online web shop and gallery gives him the freedom to spend the day hiking and photographing whatever he discovers:
That’s what I do best and enjoy the most and I’m determined not to be tied down!
